Re: Australian Railroad Crossing Signals
Made a visit to Army Camp Rd, Singleton level crossing today and sadly the original signals with Federal Signal gate mechs have been replaced. Unfortunately I’m pretty sure this leaves Glenrock Parade, Koolewong https://www.google.com/maps/@-33.4660391,151.3183181,3a,75.000000y,121.731903h,75.286560...

Re: Australian Railroad Crossing Signals
Very sad to hear about more rare equipment being lost and more upgrades though at least Puffing Billy should be using WCH m-bells. Changing the topic now, made a visit to Western Australia recently and was able to photograph a few crossings. I wasn’t able to stop too much but still got to photograph...

Re: Australian Railroad Crossing Signals
Sorry for changing the topic but made a quick trip to Orange today. Only had time time to visit a couple of crossings. First stop was at Bathurst St, Rydal https://goo.gl/maps/69Uq5WXKAsDF94ms5 It remains unchanged thankfully! Second was Ash St, Orange. https://goo.gl/maps/6rE4eB4gqw6AYo2S6 Unfortu...

Re: Australian Railroad Crossing Signals
One more sad observation made today on the way home is the crossing at Old Junee was upgraded with new signals this week and the Westinghouse Teardrop bell is now gone https://www.google.com.au/maps/@-34.8402848,147.5179761,3a,75y,31.93h,86.15t/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1spfDAdfKoZyJoN2_q68MuBw!2e0!7i13312...

Re: Australian Railroad Crossing Signals
Interesting find there, Chris96. Unfortunately, the bell nazis have been at work again and have targeted two crossings along the line. :Curse1: The first victim is Poplar Road, Parkville (Royal Park). The hybrid bells have been replaced with General Signals e-bells (both of which are adjusted Type ...

Been browsing some newspapers on Trove and I found a bunch of articles on the Guildford Level Crossing in Sydney, NSW. https://trove.nla.gov.au/newspaper/article/224504626?searchTerm=Level%20Crossing&searchLimits=l-decade=197 https://trove.nla.gov.au/newspaper/article/224494646?searchTerm=Level%20C...

Re: Australian Railroad Crossing Signals
It's difficult to know for sure, but I suspect that this crossing at Glennies Creek may have a dead Safetran type 3 e-bell on the far signal, the possibly dead bell was only installed last year when it replaced the original WCH m-bell. In this most recent video there doesn't seem to be any variatio...

Re: Australian Railroad Crossing Signals
Went on an urgent road trip today to record some endangered crossing equipment. First up was the crossing at Rydal which still retains it's GRS/WRRS Type D gate mechanisms https://www.google.com.au/maps/@-33.4818182,150.0325124,3a,75y,140.5h,89.04t/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1sp-4OXHKD76-j5spp19hBkw!2e0!7i1...
